Description: A highly systemic fungicide effective against diseases caused by Pythium, Phytophthora and other downy mildew fungi. It is a specialty fungicide for controlling Downy mildew of Grapes, Late blight of Potato, Pythium damping off in tobacco and white rust in mustard.

|Mode of Action||It is mixture of two fungicides – Mancozeb and Metalaxyl. The partner mancozeb acts by its contact action. Mancozeb is fungitoxic when exposed to air. It is converted to an isothiocyanate, which inactivates the sulphahydral (SH) groups in enzymes of fungi. Sometimes the metals are exchanged between mancozeb and enzymes of fungi, thus causing disturbance in fungal enzyme functioning. Other partner Metalaxyl inhibits protein synthesis, growth and reproduction in fungi.|
|Application||For better disease management, it is wise to spray Matco 8 – 64 at the initiation of the disease symptoms/ at probable time of disease occurrence. It is advisable to use the product as per the recommendations of local agricultural institutes.General application rate for foliar spray is 200 – 250 gms / 100 liter of water. Water volume ranges between 500 500 to 1000 liters per hectare based upon crop type and crop stage. It is advised that the user must read the label and leaflet attached to the container for details .|
|Compatibility||It is compatible with commonly used pesticides. It is not compatible with lime sulphur and Bordeaux mixture or alkaline solutions.|
