Dr. Amar Nath Chandrani, Sr. VP – Marketing & EBDC. Amar made a beginning of his carrier (after completing Ph.D. in Plant Pathology) in Indofil in Dec, 1992 as a Development Officer in North Region of Agro Business Division of Indofil.
He attended Management Development Programs at reputed Institutes like IIM – Ahmadabad and University of Pennsylvania (Wharton School).
Amar worked for four years in North Region in Product Development and Marketing and thereafter shifted to Head Office Mumbai to handle Mancozeb as a Product Manager. Since then he has worked in various capacities in Product Management and Marketing for Domestic and International Market (Sr. Product Manager, Marketing Manager, Chief Manager – Marketing, General Manager-Marketing). In addition to Marketing, Amar handled Institutional sales for 2 years in Domestic Market.
Amar has made immense contribution in last 15 years in the areas of new product Development / Launch / branding, creating proprietary products. With the help of strong team of Product Managers, expanded Core, Strategic and Traded product range of agrochemicals at Indofil from merely 7 – 8 products to > 50.
Besides this he set the strategic direction for the synthesis & launch of various agrochemicals technical molecules and took the range of own manufactured molecules to eight from one. He conceived the idea of various proprietary fungicide mixtures formulations (viz; Avtar, Merger and Sprint), all 3 are patented in India and successfully commercialized. He worked in very close co-ordination with manufacturing on capacity expansion projects, with QA and R&D for setting new standards in quality, with R&D on various synthesis and formulation projects. He contributed immensely in driving up the profitability through various strategic moves in co – rodination with front and back end.
Amar has travelled extensively in India and all major agro chemically important countries for various assignments and acquired vast knowledge about agrochemicals, and crop pest problems. Indofil has immensely benefited on account if this in driving the growth strategy for the organization.
